Day 56
Saturday

This morning we went downtown to get on a sightseeing bus that drives around town. You can get on and off at various stops along the route. We had a fun time trying to find the "yellow" line because the street we needed to be on was under the elevated freeway so we were a bit confused by our GPS.
We parked along Long Street and walked back to the area where you pick up the buses. It was only two blocks away and Sister Courtright had already given away two Books of Mormon and invited them to church on Sunday. She found an interesting shop sailing goods from native South African countries. But one item she found was from the north in Ghana. It was a native gourd about the size of a golf ball tied together with another one. These were dried and filled with seeds. They were swung around in your hands creating the most wonderful sound. So we took a video of the store clerk showing us how they work.
We saw a street performing group doing a native type dance with kids of all ages. They normally would be wearing beads on their ankles but these girls were wearing smashed soda cans tied together to make that sound.

We met a wonderful young lady from Sweden when we stopped for lunch. Her name was Genevieve. She is on holiday for 5 months. She's traveling on her own and is planning on visiting Cape Agulhas soon and within the next several weeks she is driving to Namibia and Windhoek. We invited her to church on Sunday to the Mowbray ward on Main Street.
