Day 136
Tuesday
Today is Elder Courtright's sisters birthday... Happy Birthday Penny!
This was a crazy day. Dropped a car of to get serviced. They called a little while later to inform us that this car had already been seen recently. Yup, took the wrong one in for service. Hey, there's 60 cars in the fleet...it happens.
Our new group of Elders arrived and we took them through orientation. Elder Day from Kayesville, Elder Dennis from Arizona, Elder Mabunga from Johannesburg, Elder Ferreira and Lopez both from Brazil. They then went to lunch at the mission home.
We went to Sister Courtright's follow-up with the neurosurgeon. He identified a bit of narrowing around two neck vertebrae but didn't feel that was an acute issue that should be dealt with. He also identified some small white spots in the brain associated with small blood vessel damage. He felt that was more there than should be normal for a person of Sister Courtright's age, but her history with diabetes could explain some of that. In any event there was nothing identified to take action on but thought we should have a neurologist review the scans to see if he finds anything that should be addressed.
This evening we met all the new missionaries at the Villagio restaurant for dinner. Mostly so I could pay the bill.
