Day 194
Thursday
Today Sister Courtright had Neil Slater stop in with his boys to do some facility changes. They moved some shelves, supported some other shelves, added a Masonite board for her transfer board, and sealed a leak in the roof. She keeps them busy.
Elder Courtright submitted an incident report to the Church headquarters. This is done for any injury, accident, assault, threat, or violent act. Elder Lane was stopped by a man with a knife last Saturday and he emptied his pockets and the man took a R50 note then told him not to say anything then left. We are sure grateful that nothing serious happened to Elder Lane. After all, he's been through quite enough. (Early on in his mission experience he was stabbed in the back by someone attempting to take their car. He has an issue with knives, I think.)
So cool to be part of your blog Elder Courtright. You guys are so awesome! May Heavenly Father bless you and may you drink deeply from the fountain of his love as you serve Him in this beautiful country of ours.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad Elder Lane didn't get hurt. I liked Neil's comment.
ReplyDeleteIt is only by working with the wonderful support team like you, Neil, that allows us to be so effective in our callings. Thank you so much.
