Cape Town Mission Field

    Day 210
Saturday

This morning we left the flat around 8:00 am and drove through the Cape Town wine country around Constantia across the mountain saddle into Hout (Wood) Bay and down to the docks in the harbor. We took a boat cruise out to the rocky reef where the seals hang out. The captain chatted with us and the morning sun was coming up and over the saddle by Sentinal Mount onto the rockery. It was a calm and beautiful morning. We could see clearly across the bay where the road is carved into the mountain pass around Chapman's Peak (which we took on our way to Fish Hoek for lunch). Sister Courtright me a nice friend on the dock, his name was Pappy. She said his fur was oily. Probably from all the sardines he was being fed. The dock is a working dock for processing sardines and tuna. Sardines are running now.
Sister Courtright met some wonderful vendors who were very interested in the gospel. She presented a Book of Mormon to Irene and we will deliver a book to Teresa in the future. She also did a sing-along with a wonderful couple who chose a perfect song for us, "When the Saints go Marching In".
Sister Courtright also arranged for some Book of Mormons to be delivered to the new owners of the Imperial Gardens Chinese restaurant where we had lunch. The owner had a Harlem New York jersey on.
