Cape Town Mission Field
6 August 2018
Day 240
Monday
Today is our 42nd Anniversary. We celebrated by going to evening tea at the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town. It was recommended by our good friend Sean Rhategan from Florida who grew up here and lived at the hotel. We took the sea shell that The Peterson's left us when they finished their mission. They found it on the sea shore in Port Alfred. It was an oyster half shell that the pearl was formed into the shell. Elder Courtright had a clasp added by some ladies in the apartment complex that work on jewelry. He then bought a chain. It turned out very nice. The hotel was very beautiful and the food was great and the atmosphere very relaxing. We tried several herbal teas, including South Africa's own Rooibos tea. The mixed berry tea was fantastic.
Wow, what a fabulous way to spend your anniversary. Happy Anniversary! Sorry it is so late. We have been a little busy getting setup here in Mexico.
