Cape Town Mission Field

    8 August 2018
    Day 242
Wednesday

Today we picked up the Hodges from their bed and breakfast, The Links. We showed them Signal Hill above Cape Town then took them back to the office so Elder Hamilton could take them to the bank and get their account set up. Signal Hill is where the first missionaries to arrive in all of Africa dedicated the land for proselyting back around 1850.
In the evening we went right next door to the Wild Fig restaurant. It was a great location and the food was wonderful. We chatted and had a great time. It turns out Elder Hodges great-grandmother is full blooded Indian. We will have to walk over to the Wild Fig more often for lunch on their patio once it warms up.
