Cape Town Mission Field

    24 September 2018
    Day 289
Monday

Today is National Heritage Day. We shut down the office and attended our Branches celebration at the Langa Chapel. We had a wonderful program composed of different people speaking about their cultures in Uganda, Zimbabwe, and the Eastern Cape. We had some dancers and a program talking about the custom of Lubola (spelling?) which is how a groom obtains her bride with a sort of dowry (purchases her). A typical bride is worth 20 cows.
