Cape Town Mission Field

    2 January 2019
   Day 389
Wednesday

It was another early day. Off the grocery store at 7:30 to pick up more sandwiches then we stopped at the Nightingale Close boarding to pick up the elders and take them to the Gugulethu chapel where the transfers take place. Elder Courtright returned the van to the airport and met the first group that was leaving for Port Elizabeth. He then went downstairs and greeted the elders coming in from Port Elizabeth who are leaving their mission tomorrow, Elders Sibiya, Msali, Makwakwa, and Armstrong. It was strange to meet Elder Armstrong for the first time. We've been here a year already and he's served in the East Cape so we've never met before.
The next set of elders arrived who were departing for East London. We then went to the office where the President is interviewing those elders that are departing. We had lunch at the office that Sister Courtright had catered. Elder Courtright had to replace a phone for the Elsie River elders that lost it this morning. We trained the new elder from the Philipines that the Assistants picked up, Elder Jarina. He will be serving here in Paarl. Sister Courtright packaged up all the supplies heading for the east cape that the Globe Flight carrier picked up. We then headed home early (8:00) because we were mentally and physically exhausted, and Elder Courtright has to get up early tomorrow to pick up some elders at 6:00 am to take them to the airport.
