Day 419
Friday
Wow, it's February already! This morning we stopped and picked up the Post then ran down to the Hyundai dealer to pick up the van. It also needed two rear tires, which they didn't have in stock. So we took it anyway and drove it to Speedy Tyre, up the road in Observatory. They always give us good deals and are very fast. Elder Courtright went to our boarding to meet the refrigerator repair man at noon. He determined the thermostat was bad and needed replacing. He thought that's what the problem was based upon our description of the problem so he brought one along just in case and was able to fix it on the spot. One the way back to the office Elder Courtright stopped at the tailors in Observatory and asked the manager to re-sew a skirt she had them make for Sister Courtright. They didn't put in the same number of pleats as the skirt the pattern was taken from and it didn't lay right once it was put on. The manager kindly accepted the challenge to fix the skirt by doing a whole new one and she would just put the one she made on the rack for someone to buy. Back at the office we ate eggplant/chicken Parmesan from the group of prepared meals we bought from the DeLish Caterer Sister Courtright is using for the zone conferences. They offer prepared meals, a week at a time, that you receive on Friday then you can freeze them and take them out the day before you want them.
After eating, Elder Courtright installed Sister Courtright's new monitor that just arrived. We ordered it yesterday from Takealot. She now has dual monitors to deal with the baptism records she's transcribing into the church's online system. We finished fixing a few more computer issues that cropped up from the conversion to new computers. We also found the scanning process from the printer no longer works by sending scans to our email. They said it may be fixed by Monday. Back home around 7:00 for another full day.
