Day 420
Saturday
This morning we drove out to the new Mandalay boarding in Mitchell's Plain. The family across the street was having an open house. The had a tent stretched across the side street and about 4 guys were butchering a sheep in the front yard. They were very cordial and invited us back around 2:00 pm when things were really going to get kicked off. We found the boarding in very good shape. There is a leak from the upstairs bathroom that is leaking into the downstairs bedroom. We provided some recommendations until we can get someone to look at it. Elder Rebelo was feeling bad because he attempted to fix a members mini-stove and the glass door shattered. He went out and bought a new one for them. We told him that we had a spare stove back at the office that he could give to them and he could return the stove he bought. We left for the hardware store and came back with some knobs for their wardrobe closets and some plastic containers for leftovers. We spent the rest of the afternoon at the office and came home around 6:00 pm to prepare for tomorrow's Sunday School lesson from Mark and Luke 3 titled "Prepare Ye the Way", which covered John the Baptist's ministry.
