    Day 425
Thursday

We left around 8:00 am this morning to travel to Somerset West (30 minute drive) and Hermanus (another 45 minute drive) to do boarding inspections. Sister Courtright wasn't too happy with the Somerset West boarding's so she said if they got the place cleaned up we would stop back again on our way home to give them a second chance. On our way to Hermanus we stopped at a Farmstall (Fruit Stand sort of business with a store and restaurant) in Hoew Hoek. We picked up some more honey, harvested locally in the bush, and some meat pies (steak and mushroom). Sister Courtright also picked up some more flower arrangements to redo the ones in the office. Elder Courtright also picked up a tray of figs that were freshly harvested. He plans on making a Waldorf Salad with them. We stopped for lunch just down the street from the Hermanus boarding at a lookout point over the bay. We then visited the Hermanus boarding and they passed with flying colors. We stopped in at Somerset West on our way back home and Sister Courtright was pleased to see the improvements they made so they got some Oreo's for their efforts. Once back at the office Elder Courtright ran the van up to Speedy Tyre to have the rear tires replaced. They were in bad shape causing a thumping sound on the road. While at the tire place he was talking to a lady who works up the street at a legal office and said a lot of people were let go early so they could avoid some road closures that were taking place due to the State of the Union address by President Ramaposa that was taking place in Cape Town this afternoon.
At the office we talked to the President about next weeks transfers and the new boarding's he is opening up for the new elders. It looks like we may be flying out to Port Elizabeth to open up a boarding in Port Alfred. Which is a beautiful little coastal town. Sister Courtright finished the new floral arrangements and Elder Courtright installed some filters on the main email address to direct certain emails with specific words in the subject line to Sister Courtright's email inbox. We left around 8:00 pm. Another typical day.
PS We learned that "plasters for cuts" are band aides.
