Day 483
Saturday
This morning we ran up to the Brackenfell elders to do a boarding inspection. They were on transfers so we met with Elder Chola and Elder Reilly. Sister Courtright showed them the new mops she bought them and how to use them. We reviewed several items and in the end gave them a failing grade. We felt like they could do much better. We then went to the Tableview elders boarding. We ran across a huge gathering of bikers that flooded the main intersection near the Tableview Elders boarding. They were using this as a memorial to a fallen biker that was killed recently at this intersection. There were about 2000 bikers. It was quite a thrill to see them all gathered like that, despite having to wade through them which took about 20 minutes to turn the corner. We installed a smoke detector that was sitting on top of their cupboards. Sister Courtright showed them some cleaning tips using the new mop and in the end they also failed inspection. We took one of their bikes to get repaired. One of the pedals stripped off the crank. It needs new tires also and the seat is slipping in the bracket. We stopped at Maestro's on the beach for lasagna and ribs. We then headed to the office to wrap up some items.
