Cape Town Mission Field

  1 July 2019
  Day 569
Monday

Welcome to July! Woo Hoo! Winter is in full swing here. It's been rainy and cold, that is to say it's been in the 40's at night. Which is a big deal when you don't have whole house heating systems.
We got up and took the Blaser's to the airport. We arrived with plenty of time and asked if they wanted to have breakfast with us before they went through security but they didn't want to repeat the same thing that happened in East London when they got carried away talking to the Hodges and missed their flight. So we said good-bye and the agent at the security entrance let the Hodges through a gate so they didn't have to walk through the winding line to get to security. He then came over to us and asked where our church was because he wanted to come to our church. We directed James to the Mandalay chapel and gave him the elders phone number on a pass-along card. It's sad that we only get to be with the Blaser's for only a couple of days while they served for a year here in Queenstown. We really felt their love and will miss them dearly.
We then spent the day at the office except when Elder Courtright ran out to the hardware store to pickup several items for our boarding's that need some thing or another. He also is putting together a tool box for Elder Firth so he can take care of repairs when they start to take over the North Zone's boarding inspections.
Sister Courtright called Elder Burk to ask about the spreadsheet he's preparing and they talked for about 2 hours and we finally called an end to the call and went home at 1:00 am.
