Day 572
Thursday
Happy 4th of July!
We started out by visiting the Flats Zone Leaders boarding and the Langa 1 elders for a boarding inspection. Sister Courtright was not please with the zone leaders but realized they just hosted a group of other zone leaders for MLC so she requested that in the future if we try to schedule a boarding inspection on MLC week to politely ask us to pick another day. Elder Courtright spent quite a bit of time replacing bad hinges on the cabinets until he ran out of hinges. He'll have to come back another day to finish the job. Sister Courtright ended up cleaning the kitchen of the Langa 1 elders with them because it has been such a mess for so long. She showed them how to tackle it and they even put up new curtains. It looks so much better. Elder Courtright sprayed the bathroom ceiling with "Mold Buster" to try and eliminate the mold showing up there. Before we left Elder Dennis asked Elder Courtright to help him fold up the American Flag he had draped on his bed in remembrance of July 4th.
We then headed for the office for an 11:00 am call with the Burk's to go over the supply order form they've created. We spent two hours on the phone with them trying to refine the form. We finished some more baptism work on the computers then we left with the Firth's at 5:00 pm to go to Rock-o-Mama's for burgers, fries, and shakes. We felt like that was an appropriate meal to celebrate Independence Day.
