Cape Town Mission Field

  Day 677
Friday
Count Down => 9

We found out from Kerry last night that he had to put Luna down as she was not doing well these past few weeks. We were very concerned about her this past year and was hoping to see her once more before she left us. But I guess it was not meant to be. She was with us for 18 and a half years. That's the longest we've had a pet. She was very special and precious to us having lived with us in California, Utah, Iowa, then back to Utah. She will be missed.

Today we took the Smith's to MerryPak where we get a lot of our office stationary supplies. We then showed them the cheese and yogurt store just up the street. We then went to the Nightingale Close complex and did boarding inspections for the Langa 1 and Langa 2 elders. Both were in very good shape. The Smith's then went back to the office while we stopped and had Sister Courtright's TB test checked out. Her arm showed no signs of TB exposure. These tests we have to go through in order to get ready for our next mission is a lot of work.
We spent the day at the office going over more computer training. We stopped around 5:30 and we both headed home for the day.

Elder Brannen got a package from home and shared with us some Reese's peanut butter cups as he knows they are Elder Courtright's favorite. He made some sticky notes for us showing us parachuting onto an island. I wonder if he knows something about our next mission call that we don't know.
