Day 163
Monday
Today was a very rainy day. It was nice to have a hard rain come down. It is greening up the plants around the area too. There's some Aloe plants outside my window and they are starting to show signs of some flowers beginning to bud.
But it wasn't too good for a couple of Elders who got into a traffic accident. Neither were injured but their car had to be towed away in the rain. I feel really bad for Elder Taim as he has only been on mission for 3 months now. The unfortunate thing is that the young man's car that they hit had to be towed also and he wasn't specific about where it should be taken so it ended up in an impound lot that requires a payment of R3750 to release it and accumulates an additional R350 per day for storage. This is like piracy and people will ultimately end up losing their car if they can't afford the ransom.
Beautiful aloe, but sad about the accident.
