Day 185
Tuesday
Today we had our Senior Couples Skype call to all in the mission. We showed up a few minutes late due to the heavy traffic on the N1 coming back from the Makro store where we had to pick up this weeks supplies for the elders. While waiting for the store to open we had a little visitor with no toes on one leg. He (or she) was enamored with the side mirrors and kept pecking and flying into the mirror. Must have been lonely and wanted some attention. According to the bird book we picked up at the Howard Center Book Store it is a Cape Wagtail.
After the Senior Couples meeting we went into the kitchen area and all had some Shredded Chicken Taco Soup that we prepared last night. While we were eating we had our Office Staff meeting. We focused on preparing for a disaster drill then went over several office issues that Sister Courtright had concerns over and received some great advice from the President.
In the afternoon we took some fruit and table cloths to the Mowbray chapel and set up for a dinner for the elders. Ronald Kintu provided the meal and we helped with the fruit plate.
Afterwards we stopped at the office to pick up some food items then back to our boarding to pick up a few more food items then took them over to the Assistants flat where they could prepare breakfast for the Zone Leaders that flew in from the East Cape that are staying with them during MLC.
It was a long day.
Wow, what a beautiful bird. It looks like our meadowlark. You had a very busy day.
