Cape Town Mission Field

Day 254
Monday
Today we awoke to find out from President Lebethoa that the Mandalay boarding was broken into last night while the elders were sleeping. They took several items along with their phone, boarding keys, and car keys then stole their car. So we spent the morning running over their to get them some spare keys, take them to the police station to file a report then meet back at the boarding to show the investigator what happened. The Elders (Opolot and Kyles) returned to the office later with the zone leaders to get a new phone and car. We feel bad for Elder Kyles as they took his camera and his back up of all his pictures was on a thumb drive that was in the car. He is scheduled to leave off his mission next week too.
Back at the office we are trying to catch up on paperwork. Elder Courtright had to arrange for a locksmith to come and replace all the locks. He then had to cancel the phone service on the stolen phone and issue a new SIM CARD to another phone. He had to work with the tracking agency to locate the stolen vehicle but the BidTracker was not responding so they could not track down the vehicle. One of the support team from BidTrack was guessing that they may be using a jammer to prevent them from picking up the signal. The elders will be staying with the zone leaders for the time being until we feel it is safe for them to return.
Elder Courtright also received about 60 Fleet Credit Cards that he needs to send out to all the missionaries whose credit cards we use for the vehicles all expire in August.
Our son Kerry, sent us a picture of the dashboard of our car the he is using while we are on mission. It just hit 11,111 miles. We've had it for almost a year now and it also showed that he is averaging around 53 mpg.
