Cape Town Mission Field

    Day 263
Wednesday

Today was transfers...the new elders get their assignments and transfer to their new areas to work with their new companions. Some fly out to the East Cape.
We gathered everyone up from the Assistants boarding and drove to the Gugulethu chapel. There were protests going on near Langa which disrupted transport routes along the N2 highway. So we had a long wait in traffic before getting to the chapel. Fortunately, we all had good traffic to the nearby airport where we dropped a couple groups off to fly to the East Cape. We had a few minutes to run to a nearby grocery store for Sister Courtright to pickup some items to dump into a crock pot for lunch for the elders returning to the office.
After lunch Elder Courtright took four of the returning home elders to Signal Hill then over to Rhodes memorial for them to reflect together on their time here during the past 2 years. They came back to the office and spent some time studying then were taken to the President's home for a final going away dinner; their last supper.
Transfers at the airport heading to the East Cape
Homeward bound: Hawkins, Larsen, Gibbons, Kyles
