    Day 327
Thursday

Can't believe it's November!
This morning we had breakfast with the Bullman's at the B&B where Sister Courtright met a new friend (who drops dead at the shot of a finger gun) then we visited the George Elders boarding. It was a nice place and is very well kept. They had to evacuate their boarding earlier in the week for a night due to the fires coming so close. We then headed to Port Elizabeth. Elder Bullman presented us with some scones that he made for the trip. And he also gave Elder Courtright a Frankie's root beer. How Elder Bullman knew this was Elder Courtright's favorite drink is a mystery. Elder Bullman was a chef all his life and the scones were wonderful. We stopped at the Storm River bridge for a break and we saw the mountain burning near the rest stop. We saw a few baboons along the way and we saw where the fire burned on both sides of the road earlier in the week which prompted them to close the road. We then got back on the road and found our B&B in Port Elizabeth and settled down for the evening. The B&B was a beautiful establishment and the price was incredible for what you were getting. Colleen and Denis were such gracious hosts.

  1. Beautiful flowering tree. So sorry you are having fires as well there. I think California is burning up again.
