Cape Town Mission Field

 Day 341
Thursday

Today was a full day. We stopped at the Mission Office to pick up two bikes for the Fish Hoek elders. We then went to the Meadowridge boarding for an inspection there. The place is actually looking quite nice. Elder Lawer is managing the boarding with the two Grassy Park elders. It appears they've done a very nice job and Elder Lawer indicated that everyone is pitching in. Elder Dos Santos used a 20% bleach solution in a spray bottle on the shower ceiling to eliminate the mold there. They all got Oreo's for their good work (Elder Lawer got three boxes, just because he deserves it).
We took the bikes to Fish Hoek for their boarding inspection and the place looks really nice. They've done a nice Spring Cleaning job on the whole boarding. Sister Courtright gave them some extra Oreo's too. Elder Farer is a big fellow so we got a large frame bike for him to ride. They have set up some exercise equipment in the large upstairs room to stay fit. Elder Farer used to wrestle in High School and is a bit of a fitness buff. He likes to run also. So his companion sits in the driveway and watches Elder Farer do laps up and down the driveway behind the complex.
We visited the Capri boarding for our first boarding inspection since we moved them into their new boarding. It looked very nice. There were still a few boxes and miscellaneous items that needed to be cleaned up that Sister Courtright helped them with, but otherwise they've done a nice job there as well. So they too each got a box of Oreo's.
Fish Hoek is a nice little seaside town and it has some nice homes built up the hillside, as seen from this picture.

We finally left the office around 6:00 and went to the Canal Walk Mall to pick up some more rugs and curtains for the elders. We found a little Chinese place for dinner, it was just ok.
