Cape Town Mission Field

Day 328
Friday
Today we woke up with hope that the Lord would provide us with the right people to help us find a new boarding for the senior couple coming in December. We asked Colleen and Denis and they told us that the previous mission president (President Merrill) stayed there a lot and the Harcourts agency helped them out. So they gave us their phone number and we called them. They said they would pass the need on to one of their agents and have them call us. We decided to drive to where the senior couple lives now and where the Watson's used to live to see what the area looked like. After we left the Beal's boarding area to go to the zone conference for lunch we got a call from the agency and they said that they would have Jackie call us if we could get into something to see. As we were driving down the road we got a call back and the agency said that Jackie was at the boarding now and asked if we could stop by and look at it. Turns out we were driving right in front of the boarding when we got the call. We turned into the boarding and it was being prepped for lease starting next week (new flooring being put in). We told Jackie that we wanted to take the place and would submit the paperwork when we got back to the office on Monday. The Lord does provide and we're experiencing his handy work time and time again. We still have to remind ourselves to trust in Him and all things will work out.
We enjoyed lunch with the elders in Port Elizabeth at the Walmer Stake Center with the Beal's, the Bullman's, and President Lebethoa. We also reviewed the cars while at the Stake Center and found a few new dents that the elders have inflicted on the cars. Afterwards we headed back to the B&B and took a nap then went down to the ocean front for dinner at the Beach Hotel. We took a walk out on the pier and watched some swimmers in the ocean then walked through the casino area behind the hotel and watched a water show in the lagoon.
