   Day 358
Sunday

We had a nice Fast and Testimony meeting today. We also taught Sunday School again and discussed being courageous in our convictions. We talked about Daniel, Shadrach, Meshak, and Abednego, with a special discussion of Esther; where she stood alone before the King asking him to stay the execution order of the Jews. Wherein she approached the King without invitation, which offense could be punishable by death. Those that were praying and fasting for her warned her of the danger and she replied "If I perish, I perish". Sister Courtright bore a wonderful testimony of her experience seeing this portrait of Esther at the MTC.

We pretty much vegged the rest of the day and did call our family. We found out that Gerri's stepmother Linda went into the hospital last week and passed away at the hospital the day before yesterday. She is doing ok and felt gratitude for being able to take her into her home a couple weeks ago in order to spend this last bit of time with her. She was battling lung cancer for 5 years.
