Cape Town Mission Field

    Day 418
Thursday

This morning we stopped at the garage to pick up a Wardrobe for the Meadowridge Elders. The second set of missionaries we put there have been using a temporary canvas wardrobe closet for their clothing. We stopped at the mission office to pick up the van and take it to the dealer in Plumstead for service and then drop off the wardrobe since it is near their boarding. The elders wrangled it up the front staircase and were excited to see it and have a solid place to hang their clothing. Back to the office we stopped at the River Club for a lunch basket (tempura prawns, fried calamari, spring rolls, and ribs on top of a bed of chips, or as we call them in America, French Fries). Sister Courtright negotiated a buffet arrangement with the manager for an upcoming dinner with the new arriving elders. After a short time at the office we took Elder Lillback to the airport for his return home as he has completed his mission. His family lives in Frankfurt, but he also recently lived in Sweden. His father works as a network engineer for the church and helped wire the Rome Temple. We really loved working with him while he was serving in Gugulethu. He has spent the last several months in the East Cape. Sister Courtright is showing some red spots on her nose and forehead from the freeze spray the dermatologist put on her to remove some lesions.
