We got up early and fixed breakfast then Sister Courtright wanted to clean the upstairs so we worked on that. Jackie came over then we stopped at the computer store to see if they could fix Sister Courtright's laptop before we went to pick up Logan (our grandson from school). We went shopping for several items then we ended up at Jackie's house and watched a movie with the grand kids. It was the animated SpiderVerse and it had a really good story line. We had Jackie drop us off at the Jordan River Temple where we caught up with Kerry. His Single Adult's Ward was having a temple night. We took some of their family cards and did and endowment session. Elder and Sister Courtright was asked to be the witness couple. It was a choice experience. As we were leaving the temple a young lady was standing near the front doors looking a bit lost. Sister Courtright asked if there was anything we could do and she requested a blessing in the temple. We went into the waiting room inside the entrance doors and Kerry and Elder Courtright gave her a blessing.

Cape Town Mission Field   28 October 2019   Day 687 Monday Count Up => +1 We have now started our personal tour of South Africa, this is Day 1. We headed for the Cape of Good Hope today knowing it was going to be raining off and on. This is a trip that you spend a lot of time in the car and we were hoping for sunny breaks when we got out to see things. We asked Martha to come along and she was excited to do so. We first stopped at Simon's Town to see the penguins. We were practically the first on the beach. We met Sean Robertson from Idaho but grew up in Salt Lake around 45th South and Redwood Road. He has traveled the world (52 countries) working mostly on ships as a repair diver and inspector. We left just as it started to rain. We then went down to the Cape of Good Hope and the sun was out so we hiked up to the lighthouse and had some great weather. We also drove down to the beach and took some photos there too. Cape Town Mission Field       25 September 2018     Day 290 Tuesday Today was a quiet day around the office and we did make a Makro run for missionary supplies. Most of the day was spent catching up on emails and orders and baptisms and car issues. The Mandalay elders took their car in for service and we picked it up for them in the afternoon. There are some pretty white flowers blooming in the corner of the lot that I took a picture of.

Cape Town Mission Field       10 September 2018     Day 275 Monday This was a 'real' Monday. We got a call from the Fish Hoek elders informing us that they lost their phone. The Gugulethu elders hit a pot hole last night and got a flat and drove on it to the chapel because they were driving on their spare, due to a flat tire from Saturday. The zone leaders couldn't help them because their spare was flat. The Elsie River elders lent them their spare but driving home to their flat the car was driving funny. And this all took place before 8:00 am. Later this morning the Knysna elders phoned and indicated that they were driving to George and got a flat but their wrench doesn't fit the lug nuts. I had them call AIG tow truck to assist. The Zone Leaders (Elder Stevens) was particularly helpful in taking responsibility for picking up all the bad spare tires and taking them in to the shop for replacement or repair.
