Cape Town Mission Field

  4 June 2019
  Day 542
Tuesday

We got up early and went to the open market to get fruit for this weeks MLC meetings. We then went to the post then on to Makro for weekly supplies. The traffic was really slow today. It rained lightly earlier during the early morning hours and we don't know if that affected the traffic. We then pulled some things together at the office and the elders from the East Cape arrived. We loaded up and went to the Mowbray chapel for dinner. It was raining by that time and the front gate was stuck open. We think due to water getting into the control box and resetting things. We enjoyed a meal with the elders. Elder Courtright went back to the office and him and Elder Firth took a look at the gate and realized we don't have a key to the padlock that allows you to remove the security bar to enable you to manually close and lock the gate. So the gate was left open all night. They both got very wet as it was pouring at that time.
