Day 546
Saturday
We headed for the Meadowridge elders around 8:00 am this morning but had to turn back as Elder Courtright wasn't feeling well. But that passed so we made to the Meadowridge boarding and replaced some kitchen cabinet knobs and added a latch to the balcony door to keep it open. The bathroom needs some tile work and we'll have to engage the rental agency to have them look at it.
We went to Fish Hoek and found it in very good condition. Sister Courtright hemmed some curtains and Elder Courtright fixed a door lock on the main floor bathroom. We then went to the Massi Elders and found it to be very dirty. The bathroom and kitchen have been poorly taken care of. Elder Courtright fixed a shower door leak with some silicon and then reset the towel rack while Sister Courtright showed the elders what the expectations were for cleaning the flat. We found Elder Keith rather aloof and the new Elder Tindinisi seemed to be paying close attention to Sister Courtright. Later we found out that the two elders are not getting along very well together. We'll make plans to come back next week and revisit them again.
We stopped by the office to see how the cleaning crew did this morning by cleaning the carpets and windows. It looked very nice. We then went home to clean up then headed to Milnerton at 4:00 pm to witness the baptism of the Sithole Family and afterwards a celebration of their marriage that took place last weekend. It was a wonderful experience.
We took the Tableview elders home and did a boarding inspection there. Elder Courtright replaced a cabinet hinge and some rollers on the sliding glass door. Sister Courtright did some sewing on the elders curtains then did some work on Elder Farer's pants that needed taken in.
We finally arrived home around 10:00 pm. Another fruitful day.
