Cape Town Mission Field

  Day 577
Tuesday

We did our weekly run to the Post Office and Makro store for supplies. We dropped them off at the office then went to the Toyota dealer in Athlone and picked up the new Toyota that we received.
We did some work around the office then we left with the Firths around 5 pm and headed for Stellenbosch. We arrived around 6 pm and had reservations at the Fat Butcher. They serve classic steaks there. We then walked over to the Endler Hall on the University campus for the International Chamber Music Festival's evening concert. There are a lot of workshops during the day and an evening performance every night that goes on for about a week. Tonight there were 3 sets. The first was a group of about 8, the second was a quintet with a Marimba, and the third was a full orchestra performing a piece called "Tyrannosaurus Sue". It portrayed the life of a T-rex. It was very good, especially the trombone player who played Sue. He was from the New York Met and was outstanding.
A pine tree on campus with a strange cactus growing up in it.
